Role: Network Architect
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers in preparing detailed plans for architecture work;
- Analyze existing architecture and define the modifications needed to meet our clients’ requirements;
- Define and design network architectures specific to each client based on the detailed needs of each client (LAN, WAN, VOIP, etc.);
- Develop and draft deliverables assigned pursuant to the work plan (telecommunication architecture, recommendations for telecommunication solutions deployment and information transportation security on the telecommunications network, etc.);
- Participate in project progress reviews and any other quality control activity according to the project plan.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (telecommunications specialization);
- Minimum of eight years of experience as a telecommunication/IT analyst or architect, including four years on large-scale projects;
- Experience working on several telecommunication technology architecture projects;
- Knowledge of CISCO networking products and firewalls;
- Successfully completed CCDA or CCIE certification (an asset)
- Experience configuring network and security systems;
- Strong analytical and design skills;
- Ability to lead discussion groups and summarize the results of technical debates;
- Detail-oriented in delivery and methodical and organized in work approach;
- Autonomous in completing tasks, integrating into the work group and eventually coordinating the work of the resources that must collaborate to delivery certain deliverables;
- Strong writing and presentation skills in French and English;
- Leadership, strong organizational skills;
